Well it’s that time again, it’s the end of another year, so it’s time for me to take a quick look back at what has been achieved this year. It’s a surprise for me to realise that I have been doing this blog for almost nine years now. But all that time watching too much TV when I was younger has now come in useful as I continue to share my memories of various shows that I remember from the time, along with curious things I discover online.
I ended up doing over 300 pieces this year, mostly about TV shows and pop music. My most-viewed piece of the year is my review of ITV sitcom My Wonderful Life, which I actually did a long time ago now, but is still popular. If I have ever wondered what is the show that maybe wasn’t a huge success at the time but clearly means a lot to people, it must be this one.
If you haven’t seen them already, I thought it would be a good idea to upload a couple of episodes to YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6VfPtPX2EU and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f94j94YpT98). I also had a comment on this which is one of the most remarkable that I have had. Someone said that she liked this show so much she named her daughter after one of the children in the cast. Now that is proof that you have made a connection with viewers. There never was a DVD release though.
Thanks to everyone who visited this blog this year. I don’t have too many more pieces planned to come, but there will be more TV, film, and music reviews. I have now compiled a fairly big archive of the things that have interested me over the years, and it’s great to know that I’m not the only one who likes these. I hope that you will continue to support me and blogs like this, and wherever you are, have a Happy New Year.
